Description
I hope this post shows up in the main gallery, yesterdays didn't. So if you missed it, check my gallery.
As the hatch shut behind them, Marty and Lele exited their cabin. Peenk, seeing her friend, waved at her to follow.
"Come on, Lele," She said, fidgeting. "We have to go through those clothes in storage. See if we can find the things my cousin left. He needs some clothes."
Mulk watched the two descend the ladder to the hanger level. The Mazuran then chuckled. "Marty, this kid is something else!"
"What did he do?" Arner asked as he glanced at the entrance to the medbay.
"I think he's managed to convince that lovely blonde to stop wearing pink!"
"Are you kidding?" Marty exclaimed excitedly.
Mulk shook his head. "No! He told her she looked silly in pink. That black would be a good color for her. And she agreed! Said she'd see what she had in storage!"
"Shit!" The short man crossed his arms and grinned at his friend. "For that reason alone, they should give him a pardon for stealing that X-Wing!"
Mulk was going to agree when he felt Joshua's pain spike. Opening the door, they saw the boy convulsing on the floor again. This time the two waited until the violent spasms ceased. Once they did, Kirk sat upright.
"Damn, I hate when that happens!" The boy mumbled before he jumped to his feet. Mulk stepped back in shock at the change in the kid. Just a few minutes ago, he couldn't sit up without help. Now he was jumping to his feet.
"This has happened before?" Marty asked quietly.
"It's withdrawals," He mumbled again, turning to the Scrum. But Kirk's face froze, because he knew he'd said something he shouldn't have.
"Withdrawals?" Mulk growled, contemptuously. "You're a damned junkie!"
The boy spun about and took a step in their direction, his hands balled into fists. "Get out!" He shouted. But his voice was much deeper now. As Mulk was overwhelmed by the rage streaming from this boy, he and Marty found themselves thrown from the room by an invisible hand, to slam against the hatch leading to the computer compartment.
The former Jedi shook his head, trying to thrust out the flood of emotions that swirled about him. For the fury that Kirk had exhibited just a moment before, was now replaced by horror. Pushing himself off the floor, he saw the boy staring at them, eyes wide with terror.
"How did I do that?" He shouted, his back against the wall, like he was trying to force himself through it. "No! Only someone with a biological brain is capable of telekinesis!"
Once more, Mulk's eyes narrowed at the things the Human was unintentionally revealing about himself. Kerrish glanced to his left when he heard quick footsteps. Peenk strode up the passage, tears streaming down her face as Kirk's emotions took their toll on her.
"What's happening?" She asked weakly.
Mulk held up his hand to stop her, then reentered the medbay. Gathering the Force, he calmly spoke to Joshua.
"You must calm down. You are broadcasting your emotions."
"I'm doing what?" Kirk asked as he stared at the Mazuran in confusion.
"Broadcasting your emotions."
"I have no idea what you are talking about!" Kirk's voice rose "And how am I doing this? I've never been able to do these things before I came here!"
"Where are you from?" Marty asked cautiously
"Somewhere far, far away!" Mulk watched as the boy started to tremble. "A place where I couldn't do these things! It's not possible for me to be doing these things. I shouldn't be able to use telekinesis, or feel people's emotions!"
"What you used was not telekinesis," Marty said, but the boy just ignored him.
"No!" Kirk was almost panicking now. "I'm g-g-going i-insane. The doctors told me this m-might happen," Peenk began to whine as feelings of pain and guilt assaulted her mind. Joshua now began pacing back and forth, one fist pounding the side of his head.
"They said I could become s-s-self d-d-destructive," He then gazed frantically at Peenk who leaned against the hatchway, her head in her hands. "But I can't forget what they went through! And I could not let Khindie die again!" He then thumped his fist over his heart. "To be forgotten forever!"
Mulk was drawing his fist back to strike the terrified boy. He had to try and stop his emotional storm. But before he could, his daughter stepped before him in her ev suit. Hurling her helmet to the deck she bellowed at Kirk.
"Atteeench-hut!"
A strange thing then happened. Kirk jumped up, ramrod straight, the wild emotions now almost silent. The tall Furrene then thrust her face in his.
"Now you listen up!" She roared. "And you listen up, good, Mister! You will get those emotions under control, and you will do it now! Am I understood?"
"Sir!" Kirk shouted. "Yes, Sir!"
"Hey!" Seesha shouted back, grabbing her breasts. "See these? These two girls mean that you call me ma'am!"
Joshua stared at her in confusion for a moment. "S-sorry. I-it is customary among my people to use the male honorific for both genders when speaking to a s-superior."
"Well, you are here with us, kid," Seesha said as she grinned at Joshua. "And while you are here with us, you will call me ma'am!"
"Yes, ma'am!" Kirk was still trembling slightly, staring at Peenk as she stumbled to one of the beds.
"Oh, I really need to lie down," She mumbled.
"Am I causing that?" The Human asked, the trembling slowing down
"Yes," Mulk said as he cautiously placed his hand on his shoulder. "You are using the Force."
Joshua squeezed his eyes shut, and slowly shook his head. "I told you, only someone with a biological brain can use telekinesis. Same for telepathy and empathy."
Marty started to say something, but the Mazuran stopped him.
"I know what those things are," Mulk began again. "But that's not what you are doing. You are using the Force."
"What the hell is that?" The young man asked in exasperation, confused at the things he was hearing. "I've heard it mentioned a couple times. Just what is this Force?"
What?" A stunned Lele asked. "What do you mean, what is the Force?"
"How could you not know what the Force is?" Seesha demanded of him.
"I can't make it any clearer!" Kirk shot back at them, now becoming annoyed. "I have no idea what you are talking about when you mention a force! Are, are you talking magnetics, or gravity?"
"The Force!" Peenk interrupted him, before he could became upset again. "The Force is an energy field that surrounds and fills the galaxy. Life both created it, and sustains it."
"And the Force can be manipulated," Mulk added. "Some people can do this. I am one, I was a Jedi. Peenk here can as well. She's had some training from her father, who was a Jedi."
"Correllian Jedi!" Peenk cut in, correcting Mulk.
"Ok," Joshua said quietly as he put his hands up before him in a warding gesture. "Let's just pretend that I don't know what you're talking about."
"No!" He now raised his voice in aggravation. "Let's don't pretend! Because I have no idea what the hell this force is, nor do I know what the hell a Jedi is!"
"Hey!" Peenk shouted, jerking herself up to a sitting position on the bed. "Watch your language on my ship!" And then her voice dropped down, threateningly. "And be very careful how you talk about the Jedi!"
"What, is it a religion?" Kirk asked the five. When the others continued to stare at him in confusion, Kirk started to wave them off. But as he did, his eyes rolled back and he stumbled back to fall against the bulkhead as pain wracked his body once more. The others watched in horror as he trembled so hard that he became blurred.
Seesha immediately jumped back to Peenk's side, to protect her. After several seconds, the tremors ceased as suddenly as they'd started and he slowly opened his eyes. Standing upright once more, he turned for the door to the fresher.
"I'm going to, aaah... go in here... and aah..." Joshua struggled to speak as he opened the door.
"Take a shower?" Marty finished for him.
"Yeah," He said as he slowly stepped through the door. "A shower," After pausing a moment, he shut it.
Mulk turned to his daughter and was going to thank her for her quick thinking. But he found her standing over Peenk, sniffing the Human. She then did the same for Lele. With a rush, she scooped a surprised Peenk off the bed and headed out the hatch.
"Marty!" The Furrene whispered harshly. "Get Lele out of there, now!"
Mulk and Marty each lifted a very stunned Lele by an arm and carried her out of the medbay. The crew of the Runner had learned to always act without thinking when Seesha and Mulk sensed something was wrong.
"What's going on?" Mulk asked as he shut and locked the hatch to the medbay.
"You must keep the Human females away from that boy," Seesha said as she put Peenk back on her feet. "These two and Melee are very strongly aroused, sexually."
"What?" Her father asked as he glanced down the passage to Melee's quarters. "How do you know that?"
"Because I heard Melee masturbating as I was on my way back up here from engineering. And I can smell it from these two," She then turned to Lele. "You need to get back to engineering, Doctor Lele. That boy's emotions are playing hell with Ano and your youngest son."
Lele threw the clothes she held in her arms to the deck and sprinted up the passage to engineering, Mando obscenities flowing from her. "Not a word from you, Girly!" Lele shouted over her shoulder as she reached the hatch, her Coruscanti accent now gone.
"I wasn't going to say a thing," Peenk said calmly as she picked up the discarded garments. "I know she's worried about those two."
"What about you?" Seesha asked Peenk. "Are you ok?"
"I have a very bad headache," She said slowly before kissing Seesha on the cheek. "But thanks to your quick thinking, he finally got those emotions under control, and now it's swiftly fading. Thank you, Big Sister."
Seesha kissed Peenk on top of her head before taking her in her arms and hugging her tightly. "Anything for you, Little Sister. And I'm glad to see my plan had a better ending than the one the old man had," She said, turning to her father. "Punching him? Really?"
"I was hoping it would have stopped him," Mulk said as he glanced at the damaged hatch. "Though now that I think about it, I most likely would have made him very angry. And I now get the distinct feeling that I don't want to anger that kid."
"No kidding! Marty muttered under his breath.
"What do you mean?" Peenk asked as she turned in his direction.
"Check out that bulkhead in the medbay, Boss Lady," When his employer gave him a puzzled look, he explained further. "It's bowed in where he tried to push his way through it. That boy must be incredibly strong. I'm talking Melee strong, if not more so."
"He has a strong Force Push, too," Mulk groaned as he massaged his shoulder.
"That's why he was going on about telekinesis, isn't it?" Peenk asked as she noticed that the hatch into the computer compartment had been bent inward.
"Yeah," Marty slapped Mulk on his injured arm, causing him to flinch. "Master Jedi here upset him when he called him a junkie."
"Why would you call him that?" The blond demanded as she spun on the Mazuran.
"Oh, I dunno," He began. "Maybe it was when he told us that withdrawals were causing his pain!" Mulk then sighed with realisation, and shook his head.
"Yeah!" Peenk shot back as she slapped Mulk's injured arm as well. "It could be an addiction to something he was on during that year he was in the hospital."
"He was in a hospital for a year?" Marty Arner stared back at the hatch to engineering for a few moments. Memories from the year his youngest son spent in a hospital caused him to shake his head. "Did you have M-3 take a medical scan of this kid?"
"Yes," Peenk nodded. "And I think we need to see what it found. Because just as M-3 was telling us what it's scans found, he interrupted it."
"I said put me down!" The four jerked about at the shout that came from the direction of engineering. The Arner's youngest son was loudly protesting as his two brothers tried to carry him through the hatch. #3 struggled out of their arms to fall to the deck, where he gasped in pain. He then warned his mother off as she rushed to his side. "I'm not an invalid! And I'm not going to let you people treat me like I'm one! So everyone, just back off!"
Stretching out a shaking hand, he snatched his cane from the deck. With a great effort, he lifted himself to his feet and made his way to the quarters he shared with his two brothers. As the hatch opened, he stopped and slowly turned to Peenk.
"Sorry, Boss Lady," He said as he leaned on his stout wooden cane. "I was out of line."
"Hey!" The blond cut him off before he could continue. "I've given you my permission to unload on them anytime you feel they're babying you, remember?"
"Afirmative, Captain!" He said before stepping through the hatch, a smile on his lips, and his two brothers following close behind, both apologizing.
With a tear streaked face, Lele helped the blue skinned Twi'lek, Baby, lead Ano to their cabin. "Ano, you lay down for a while," She said, quietly. The tall Ano just nodded her head slowly. When the hatch shut, Lele raced to her own, quickly followed by her husband.
"When is she going to realise he's twenty three?" Peenk said to the others. "He's not a child."
"She should try treating him like a patient," Seesha said to the others.
"What do the two of you know about this subject?" Mulk asked the two women sternly. "Neither of you have children. So you don't know what it's like to have a child in pain. A pain you can't do anything about!"
Mulk then turned and stormed for the bridge. When the hatch shut behind him, Seesha angrily snatched her helmet from the deck and put it on.
"She was my sister!" Her voice could be heard, muffled by the plastic and steel. "I know something about it!" The tall feline then strode to the airlock room, tears in her eyes.
Peenk sadly shook her head and unlocked the hatch to the medbay and entered. Pausing for a few seconds, she entered a code that only she and Lele knew. A code that would guarentee the hatch could not be opened by anyone else. Putting the clothes on a bed, she removed her bodysuit and opened the door to the fresher.
Joshua slowly unclenched his fist as the latest round of pain subsided. He then smiled. He may be in pain, but at least he was clean. Clean for the first time in almost two weeks. But his eyes jerked open when he heard the hatch open, and someone step into the small room. When he turned, he found the tall blond entering the shower with him, naked.
"No!" He said as he tried to push her back. "You have to leave! You don't know what's happening to you!"
"I don't care what's happening to me!" Peenk replied huskily as she brushed his hands aside and continued to advance into the stall. Again he tried to push her away. And once again, the woman pushed his hands aside. Now she was forcefully pressing her body to his. When he put his palms on her shoulders to push her away again, the beautiful woman took a step back and slapped him with a shaking hand.
"Listen to me!" She said quickly to the stunned Kirk. "I own this ship! And since my crew rescued you, you owe me!" The woman shook her head, then pressed her body to his once more. "No! I own you! And I'm making you my cabinboy! And your first order is to take me here, now!"
Without waiting for a reply, Peenk bent down and took his head in her hands and kissed him with a lust and passion she'd never felt before. With a growl, Kirk lifted her and fell to his knees, laying her down. She jerked as her body touched the chilly deck plates.
"Hey!" He told her in a no nonsense tone. "Your orders!"
"That's right!" The woman whispered hotly in his ear. She then stared into his brown eyes hungrily for a few seconds before throwing her arms around his neck and kissing him with a fierceness that snapped what little reluctance he had left. With another growl, Joshua Kirk surrendered to the Need, and to this very beautiful woman's orders.
And if being raised by the two Admirals Kirk had taught him one thing, it was that life was simpler if you just obeyed orders.
Still yet another of the original posts with much improved (I hope) writing.

Mighty fine writing indeed, my friend! Seems like old times, only better.

Excellent

LoL! Excellent! How could anyone not know what the Force is? Which force is on first? Great point. Been watchin' me some Star Trek since I was a wee lad and Star Wars since I was 14 (which now reveals my exact age) and love 'em both, but.... Star Trek is science fiction, Star Wars is space opera...just barely. Well written chapter and well rendered image!

Yeah, I was fifteen. Seeing that movie was the first thing I did with my first paycheck.
