there should be surf when the water hits the rocks or ship... other than that it looks great

An amazing boat model and super water as well--the only thing that gives it away as cg is the problem ScrewDryver described. I second that outstanding!

Like ScrewDryver, I too feel the need to point out some issues. The lack of splashing water doesn't bother me that much since the waves don't look like there very big. However, the water material I find to be lacking. There are no reflections of the boat or the land on the water. It's really keeping your scene from blending together into one image. Right now the boat, land, and sky look pasted together. The other problem is your lighting. Your sky is so bright, but the rest of the scene is very dark. Sorry to pick on this image...It does look quite good now, but it has such incredible potential to be fantastic.

Ok guys ! This is the main reason i always check the " Allow users to make comments " ! That helps me a lot to improve my work and i agree with all of you concerning the lighting issue except with the lack of splashing since the water seems to me dead calm, but all your advises are very important to me and i will re-post a new version of this pic with the needed improvements, thanks.

Magnificent! Since haven't used 3DS yet there are no comments on technique, but from the artistic point if view it is perfect and very phoorealistic. Having viewed such works I always proceed with the Artist's Gallery.

This really could be an awesome scene. I agree with the comments on the reflections in the water. Also the light in the sky would fill up the scene more, giving a much bigger global illumination instead of the more directional light that is happening now. Don't mean to be redundant but I just had to comment on such a beautiful image! Good work!

Great picture. Agree with the comments about reflection and surf on the water. One more picky point: the ropes looping down at the front of the great ship, could use some smoothing. As they are at the moment, you can see the polygons where it bends. Other than that - brilliant.

Magnifica imagen. Sser. Estoy de acuerdo con que falta algo de niebla al fondo y un poquito de espuma de mar. Por lo dem, ya siento el olor a salitre. Fantastico. Salud.

Comment on Phlegn's comment. There is no surf in a cove... Ship art has always been my favorite type of art. Very nice job.
