This is neat! I guess because all the non-textured parts look a bit metallic right now, I get the impression the ship would be too heavy for the balloon. The bump map on the balloon is perhaps too uniform, if it varied a little to match what appear to be different patches of fabric in the texture it might look even better? I don't mean to be critical, just helpful, 'cause I really like this.

Very nice modeling work! I do agree with hermitboy about the bump mapping on the balloon. Can't wait to see the final result.

Nice Ship! I could so see this flying through one of my cities. Great job. I'll comment on the balloon if you dont mind. To add the airy feel of balloon fabric and such possibly a hazy glow on the shader. This is how the flying airship in the Sci-Fi series "Jules Vern" was rendered. Another example is the short "Little red plane" Hope this has been helpful. What is this project for? Personal..or...?

ok this may just be my imagination but shouldn't you be able to see the bottom wing thing that is on the other side. from the perspective you would at least see some of it. Unless your model isn't the same on either side of the ship, then you obviously wouldn't see it cause it doesn't exist. just a question, otherwise man i love this great modeling and eye for imagination. Please post a final render when you are done.
