Description
Well I thought a long time about this, 'cause this is an art site (not a music site)...but since I trained for many years, I wanted to offer some excerpts, some were for clients, some for me...
A few of you have heard some of these: But these are improved. (And the classical ones are SLOWER: Attention, 2 or 3 of you who wondered if I was on 'speed' when I performed these: I wasn't, lol! These are from better sources.)
There are 18 minutes total.
The link has 4 files:
1) Classical
- Chopin Revolutionary Etude
- Chopin Polonaise in Ab (excerpt)
- Improv in the Style of Chopin
2) Gospel and Jazz
- Gospel (I play both instruments)
- St Louis Blues
- All the Things You Are
- Flamenco Improv
- Blues Improv
3) Reflective
- 2 Asian Flute Improvs
- 17th C. Chorus Improv
4) Beethoven's Appassionata Sonata (Ending)
Please know:
The classical pieces are mostly recitals in the 1980s: The sound is tubby. I did surgery on them, but some files can't be helped. Bottom line, I can't play like this now, so I gave old ones.
I also played jazz professionally (and Gospel). I included both...half were for clients.
And notice 2 guitar excerpts: These are played on KEYBOARD: Having worked with guitarists for years, I got a feel for that glorious instrument. Also, there's a pre-historic Flamenco sample---recorded just right after DNA was invented---so bear with the sound! (I actually studied Flamenco on guitar, and dreamt that I'd become a Gypsy and play in the streets. Don't think that's gonna happen though...)
The flutes are keyboard as well: It takes lots of time to 'shape' these---using wheels and sliders---but it's so satisfying in the end.
Finally, the end of Beethoven's Appassionata Sonata because I luuuuv Beethoven. Also a concert in the 80s w/ aged sound...

(I fully understand if any of you don't wanna hear these; but I hope the rest of you enjoy.)
I'll finish my comments on Sunday: And yes, I WILL be leaving! I'm just very slow!!! Thanks for all your support, it's just the best!
Enjoy your Sunday!

OMG! Mark, these are absolutely amazing pieces of music. seriously. the classical clip was beautifully done, the jazz was very uplifting (though a bit muffled), the reflective piece was wonderful (and my favorite of the set, I wish it had been longer.) Beethoven would have probably loved your rendition of his music, too. thank you so much for sharing these. your talent knows no bounds and I'm super impressed with this music. BRAVO! oh, and the little piano art, is cute and really well done, too.

If you played these pieces on a 2-1/2 octave piano, I'll be totally impressed! :P Okay ... I'm impressed anyway. I can't load that size file right now, but I'm pretty sure I've heard them, and I know now beautifully you play. I hope people get to listen ... your music is worth the time!

Great little drawing done in a sepia environment, Mark, but from what I could gather after I clicked on your link, it doesn't exist anymore, so I wasn't able to enjoy the vast variety of music.
