I'm Seared Ice from the anim8or forums...probably don't know me though. I'm a big fan of Anim8or and your images really show its power when combined with a creative person. Is the render Anim8or also? Also, how do you find the patience to make such nice-looking modles...I give up on mine :( So far I've only done basic, realistic ones, but I've been getting more abstract recently. www14.brinkster.com/drakej some of my renders are in the graphics section...

Thanks everyone! Seared Ice - yes I know you [you've got an easy to remember alias ;) ]. Yes, it was done entirely with Anim8or (rendering too). I did the majority of this model over a period of 2 months last summer. Thanks to years of tv and computer games, I have the attention span of a goldfish during summertime (so much fun to be had in so little time), so sometimes it could be hard for me to stay focused. I only worked on this model when I felt like it - otherwise what's the point if you're not having fun? Even when I was working on it, I'd sometimes just do little 'doodle' models in between so that I wouldn't get bored with it. After checking your gallery, it's obvious that you've got a handle on Anim8or's tools. Just come up with something complicated that you'd REALLY like to model (or if you can't - then redo something that already exists that you're interested in - like a Star Wars ship, or a fast car, etc.), and model that off and on for a while in between doing other stuff. That way, you're less likely to get bored and abandon it. If you don't want to do a really detailed model, try making simpler models, but putting them in environments. For example: It's amazing how much adding a wood desk underneath a model of a book, or adding some good lighting to your scene can enhance your models. - cheers :)
