Description
Bakat desperately tore through the tool locker in what was left of the Durga's engineering section. He'd heard the screams of terror and pain from his sons, Bakut and Krind. He didn't know who it was that had boarded his ship. but whoever they were, they were silent killers, for his com headset detected no com signals of any kind. And what was left of the ship's intercom now fed directly to him.
Bakat spun about as the Wookiee Dacheera roared in anger and pain. But just as suddenly she went silent as two blasters set to stun fired several time. The Trandoshan hurriedly resumed his search for the blaster he kept hidden in the locker. Yes! The reptilian found the beat up E-11 and checked it's charge. Three quarters, more than enough to take out these intruders. Then he would see about taking their ship.
As he crept toward the hatch a stocky Humanoid in Clan Bessa infantry armor stepped forth, his hand outstretched. To Bakat's shock, his weapon flew from his grip. Muttering a curse to his godess the Scorekeeper for deserting him and his people, he realized who it was he faced.
"Mulk Irin Tor Kerrisshhh!" He hissed angrily. "So we meet at lasssst!"
"Aye, lizard," The Mazuran said as he tossed the weapon aside and removed his helmet. Mulk's red eyes glared at the fat Bakat. "And it is a meeting half a century over due."
"And where is you ssso called daughter?" He asked derisively. "The one who got away, Ssseessshhha."
"I'm right here," Seesha said as she stepped past her father, throwing two bloody lizard hides to the deck, she lifted her helmet and tossed it to Mulk. "Look at your two buddies here."
"Those were my only sssonsss!" Bakat said angrily.
"Good!" Seesha said as she pulled her long combat knife from it's sheath. "Now you can join them! Buir?"
"I'm on it," Seesha's father said as he lifted a lidded tank onto an anti-grav plate. Then he piled on several tanks of tanning chemicals. "Bring the skins over when you're done."
"No need," She said as she eyed the Trandshan. "I'm just going to shove their hides in the ship's septic system. That is a fitting grave for these things."
"Very good," Mulk said as he turned and left. "I'll see you when you are finished."
"It'll not be long," Seesha said as she leapt to Bakat.
"It is done father," Seesha told Mulk as she stepped into his quarters, Lele at her side. "I've called my mother and gave her the good news. The same for the Furrene Grand Captain. He has ordered a day of celebration throughout the Fleet."
"And Kashyyk has been informed of the demise of the Durga," Lele said as she took Seesha's shaking hand. "To say they are overjoyed would be a grand understatement."
"Lele, could you leave us?" Seesha askeed the Scrum woman. "I need to talk about something with my father."
"Sure thing," The short woman said as she walked out the hatch. "But make it fast. It's time for Melee's training session."
"Only take a few minutes," Seesha said as the hatch shut. After locking it, she stepped to the safe her father kept in the corner of his room. "I found something interesting in the boy's rucksack."
Seesha reached in and pulled something out. Turning to stare over her shoulder She nodded to her father. To the man's surprise, he heard the familiar sound of an igniting lightsaber. But to his shock, the blade that appeared was scarlet. Jumping from his chair, took the weapon from his daughter.
"No!" He said as he stared at handle. "It can't be!"
"Do you recognize, Papa?"
"Of course I do!" He said quickly as he deactivated the weapon. "It was mine! But it was cast aside more than one thousand years ago. After the Jedi captured me after the third Battle of Ruusan. Yeah, I'm definitely talking to this boy. Find out where he got this."
Mulk watched patiently, as Melee slowly lifted the Kodo meditation globe and Seesha off the floor. To show Mulk how well she was doing, the girl balanced the sphere on her knee. Mulk grunted his approval.
"Don't you drop me, kid!" Seesha said half seriously, knowing full well that she was safe.
This little scene was interupted by Ano Orinie who walked into the lounge with fire in her eyes.
"Big Sis? Can you tell me why one of your damn droids is following me everywhere I go?" Ano fumed, pointing to one of Melee's battle droids. "And why is the other hovering over Baby?"
"It was Mulk's idea," Melee explained as she slowly turned to face her sister. "They're needed to keep the new guy away from the two of you.
"What, you don't think we can stay away from him ourselves?"
"No," Mulk said plainly. "This guy is not a mainline human. He's a mutation of some kind," He said, lying. "It seems his body produces super pheromones that attract women. Hell, you've seen what it's done to Peenk! They've been holed up in Kinna's cabin for twelve hours. Just when things die down, and you think they're done, they start up again. I had to turn the sound deadeners on in here. I don't want Melee hearing that!" Mulk said, annoyed.
"Ha!" Melee laughed. "Melee doesn't want Melee hearing that. But Ano, the droids will only be with you til they finish," She gestured with her one free hand down the pasageway. "Then Mulk will have a talk with him. he seems like a great guy. Even if he is a little over emotional."
"Yeah," Ano said. "Tell me about it! I still have a headache. Wait, how do you guys know so much about this man?" Ano asked. "He's been with Peenk ever since she jumped him in the med bay, right?"
"It was from one of the two datapads in the fighter," Seesha said. "We found Joshua's audio journal on one. In it he talks at length about this mutation. Evidently it's a family thing."
"So just steer clear of him until I can talk to the kid," The Mazuran told Ano. "Oh, You don't have to worry about the airborne pheromones. Marty kicked the air circulation up to filter it quicker."
"Ok, I'll go tell Baby. Later Big Sis." Ano told Melee. Then, turning to Seesha she grinned. "Later Bigger Sis! And you did good today."
"Hey look!" Seesha said, peering out into the ship's central passage. "There's Peenk! I guess they're finally done!"
Everyone turned to watch as the leggy Correllian in her pink body suit walked gingerly to the med bay.
"Ha ha!" The blond muttered as Seesha and Melee giggled. "Laugh it up all you want! It was worth it!"

RodS Online Now!
Another great chapter! Except possibly for the Durga...
I think you jostled a couple brain cells.... I seem to remember an episode in the Clone Wars animated series where Akosha and Chewbacca encountered the Durga. It didn't end well for the Durga.

That Durga was a sleemo Hutt. The ship Durga was named after a Trandoshan hunter.
