I loved the visceral rough surface of the last kale shot, and this abstraction has a wonderful mix of flat cutout work (top half) with gritty incising line work (bottom half), made all the more striking by the light greens and yellows on top, with the darker hues on bottom. A fine job of abstracting the inner forms and presences of the shot. The leaves, here, look like a series of intense wormholes. Your 'regular/postworked' duos have been a highlight, I've seen every one, and they make such a fine dance, between image and its sibling; and this is a fine example of what you do with these. (Re kale, recently I posted a tribute to one of my Native American teachers, and spoke of some of the herbs she put together---she was a shaman (having come from a Masters in Biochemistry, a fascinating combination). Some of her drinks could make your hair stand on end; but they had enormously positive effects. She said: "The uglier the leaf, the chances are, the better it is for you...")
