Description

This is a test render with the cute Trixie from EricBSTL. She handles very well and has such a sweet face (thanks Eric for the Tip with the adjusting of the rigging to a certain morph form). I'm always wondering, how a certain character morph looks sometimes significantly different, if you use a different texture or/and a different hairstyle or lighting than the "promo pictures" or a certain gallery image (compare to Erics image of Trixie:https://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/trixie-test-1/2782809/?p). Sometimes it is very exciting, to see with how less you can do something own and different. On the other hand sometimes I find it very frustrating, if I see a product on Renderosity, DAZ or else where, which appeals to me and if I buy it and do some renders it looks absolutely not like the character on the promo picture (which made me buying the product). In such case I mostly ask back to the creator of the content to get information about what hairstyle, clothing, accessory or what ever they used which pleased my eyes in the promo. There are some artists who list the used stuff in their product or image (best if they use the "promo credit" tab if possible - which unfortunately is seldom used), but a lot don't, which I think is a bit a pity. I know that some people don't want to "give a way" their special tricks, and others simply don't remember any more what they used and where they got it from, but I would certainly be grateful to learn from others and there fore would love to know, what others used to achieve their results. Alright here the Credits for my picture: Trixie is a gift from EricBSTL I got (Thanks Eric) and not (yet?) available anywhere but from him personally. Hair: Scarlett Hair for Genesis 3 Female(s) @ Daz3D Texture is FWSA Melinda The Pants are from the Tamara Bundle @ DAZ3D The Cat is the Hivewire House cat The Environment is The Willow Creek environment from Stonemason avail. @ DAZ3D Thanks for all your previous your comments

A very lovely image - she is a real cutie, indeed!

I've had the same thoughts on numerous occasions - about the characters not looking like the ones in the original promo image. Things like different hair or lighting makes a huge difference.

A good example - I used the FaceGen app to create a face of a model I used to photograph many years ago, for use in DAZ. Interestingly, the character morph did not look in the least like her at first glance. I used a hair product that was a different color and style than I was used to seeing on the real girl. When I found a hair that fairly closely matched her real hair style and color, the DAZ figure looked recognizably like her.

Yeah, I'm one of those folks that forgets what the heck I used in a scene (especially in those complex T.N.A. scenes). I really need to keep notes! LOL

Wow what beautiful scenery and atmosphere.

You have cleverly mastered Trixie looking like a beautiful and innocent adolescent.

Her expression is purrfect as she pets her friendly cat.

Magnificent work, and render as always, super well done.

Great looking character!

When I get a new character morph I usually try it out with different textures from other characters; quite surprising how different the results look, and sometimes the character looks better with a different skin.
