My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

Nice post work. It as if the spirit of the old machine is trying to get out. A wonderful example of rust and decay. And with all of that, the headlight housing looks new.

I like the rust textures & the overall composition, but I'm puzzled by what all those faint white lines all over this photo are?

I used a lens flare in PS to “turn on” the headlight. The white lines are part of that effect.

I love how this rusty old truck is showing just this little sign of life. You have created the light beautifully Tara, very creative. :)

I dunno, Tara.... Stranger things have happened out there in those old mines and ghost towns..... I can't get Ar to go near an abandoned mine for some odd reason....
Wonderful photo, Tara!

Do you know how shocked I was to find this in the middle of all your wedding shots? I was waiting for you to say, "this is Brittany's new car---they're not doing too well". Fine bold shot of rust and decay, and all the abstract elements it offers. And the added flare in the light provides the right accent. You gotta mess with nature sometimes. The dark on top and in parts of the left and right provide the right blacks to set off this brightly lit metal. That's your rembrandt side. Easefully done, and it's powerful and shimmering.
