The growths on the surface are, of course, the first thing we see. And your strong orange-yellow light helps them stand out by comparison, along with the almost fluid surface (caused in no small part by your striking sense of light and sheen here). The surface is an orange-yellow meeting ground with crawling warts...
But you've placed it against a very stark background, of a darker bottom half, under a lighter upper half, which---together---form a two part abstract pattern, making this a minimalist piece, with the pumpkin in striking contrast to that deep brown wood. And the bottom-most line---perhaps drawn out by your postwork---gives a final 'period' to the piece. Really well done, it's a minimalist study with wonderful contrasts.
