Description
Hot dog! A capture of just one of the many participants in our annual Halloween parade held back in October of 2014.
There are even lyrics to go along with this particular product:
"Oh I wish I were an Oscar Mayer Weiner
That is what I truly wish to be
Cause if I were a Oscar Mayer Weiner
Everyone would be in love
Oh everyone would be in love
Everyone would be in love with me"

That wiener mobile has traveled the country for decades (since 1936) and still is in magnificent condition. It must be all the preservatives. I don't recall the spiderweb though. Nice sharp capture.Nice postwork

OMG. I had no idea these still existed. I saw one back in the late 50's in my home town. It must have been lost or hijacked.
TNX for the memories.

A very cool vehicle and great captures of it. I love the verse that goes with it too. :)

I can't say I ever seen one of these, but you've done a wonderful job capturing this for those of us who don't often have the opportunity to see it in person.

It's fun to see responses from people who didn't grow up in America, for whom this contraption is new. You captured the bright vivid oranges and yellows with real presence, and the cartoon-like shape of the thing, both in the skewed angle shot of no. 1, and in the lonnnnng view in no. 2. Good choices, Harry. And as always, perfectly composed. And, with your son, I don't remember the spider web either! (My father used to say, "eat kosher weiners!" Yeah well, I'm not sure Hebrew National were any better for you than O.Meyer, except that some rabbi somewhere 'blessed' them.) A real trip down memory lane...
