Description
The chicken (Gallus gallus domesticus) is a type of domesticated fowl, a subspecies of the red junglefowl. It is one of the most common and widespread domestic animals, with a total population of more than 19 billion as of 2011. Humans commonly keep chickens as a source of food (consuming both their meat and eggs) and as pets.

Il ressort bien sur le gris qui l'entoure ! La France a conservé le coq comme emblème car il était déjà honoré chez les Gallo-Romains en tant que symbole de Mercure, divinité romaine très tôt adoptée par les Gaulois car apparentée au Lug celtique ; le coq était un oiseau solaire annonciateur de l'apparition de la lumière était censé protéger contre les mauvaises influences nocturnes, symbole de vigilance et de virilité, et emblème de fierté..Une excellente photo !!
