So continues my love/hate relationship with Iray. Got a new set of mesh lights from Dimension Theory. As usual, I had a terrible time getting the image to appear crisp. Read somewhere that mesh lights have that affect - don't know if that's true, but I fiddled with the render settings based on that information. I changed the Pixel Filter from gaussian to mitchell. I did all of the usual quality changes which result in 13 hour renders. Finally ended up with something that wasn't too noisy and had sharp eyes. Hurrah! The items used in the image are the Hivewire Big Cat with the puma add-on. It's available both here (Renderosity) and Hivewire. The girl is G8 with the new Pei character (by RareStone) applied. She has a cool mouth and cute eyes. She's over at DAZ. The ear morph came from TW Ktarya for Genesis 3 and Genesis 8 by Thorne (DAZ). The outfit is from the same bundle. The gorgeous rocks are from Andrew Pestryakov's Stones HR (DAZ). They come with and without plant matter growing on them. The Dimension Theory lighting pack is called iRadiance - HDR Mesh Lights Volume 2 for Iray (DAZ). Oh, and the backdrop is from Didi_mc's On the Edge 2, available here at Rendo.
