Indians? Or was the Indian a symbol of the 42nd Infantry? I somehow don't connect Indians with the Civil War. Good photos of the memorial! Keep up the good work! :-)

I'm not understanding the symbolism either. I always associated Tammany Hall with Irish and politics in NYC.
