Description

Getting the expression, pose, & lighting right was tough -- I wanted an indication of a mysterious light coming from the deeps and wanted the camera angle from the perspective of a sailor looking down toward deep water. I also wanted the mermaid to look slightly distrustful and protective of her pearls. Rendered with Poser Pro 11; background compositing done with Photoshop.
