Description

Probably the most unique monument at this end of the battlefield park (however, we have not seen all of them). And a unit we've met before ... at Antietam. There is a lot of detail on this monument and here is an excellent reference about them: http://gettysburg.stonesentinels.com/union-monuments/pennsylvania/pennsylvania-infantry/90th-pennsylvania/ Here is a quick URL to the earlier posting (Antietam): https://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/90th-pennsylvania-memorial-antietam-md/2754538/?p One thing you can see is that the position is on a slight ridge. Behind us the land slopes gently up to this ridge line. As General Buford wished: good ground for defense. The skeedaddle across the field and to Culp's Hill is easy to imagine. Enjoy; thanks for viewing.
