well I'm almost at an hour and a half, and I must move on, as this is only a 2 week visit and I still have galleries I haven't visited yet. (It wasn't easy to skip---all your images grab me right away; this is never an easy choice.) Well, why not end with musicians, as I've been one all my life. (I actually did a music upload, with a link to some old classical piano and jazz and a few other things...the link's dead, but I know music probably better than any art I've ever been in, so I can relate to this image immediately.)
I knew families where everyone 'played'. Though violin isn't the easiest thing in the world (lol---if you've ever heard someone play it badly, you know what I mean!) I love the pose of the central young lady, she's staring up in to the heavens, her legs splayed apart as if for balance. The young man is wearing a great tunic, and he's digging in looking down; and you have a young child who knows how to hold a violin, so she's no beginner. Love the room and the lines and light and the mixed hues: Lots of silvers and grays, matte next to shiny; with pale peach hues and some muted gold; and all of that is contrasted with the deep greens and blacks of the nature outside---with crystal clear windows. A very rich, full and very clear scene, with musicians all playing together. Terrific, Dee. As always, it's a pleasure to comment here...I wish I were faster, but at least I saturate myself in your work, and it's terrific. Happy New Year to you and your wonderful family, and I wish you all a terrific 2018!
