I was born in 1979 and grew up in Orlando Florida. All my life I have had a passion for art. In May 2002 I graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore Maryland with a BFA in painting. I am now an animator at EyeMaginations, a small company just outside of Baltimore that specializes in medical animation. I love what I do!

Excellent work. The hands look very realistic as does everything on the sink countertop.

Very nice and clean scene! The skin looks a bit burned to my opinion and at the right side a piece of the image could be cut I think. (I suppose you only made underarms...) I also think you need to make some more water between the time of turning on and bringing the hand back... But the water looks great, textures great and towel very realistic!

oh my gosh - i have that same contact case at home!

Reminds me of The Abyss... try moving the hands slightly upward, over the water mesh, so it doesn't look so viscous.

Hey Try to make the water more liquid, it looks like slime now. The rest looks quite nice. Only the stone's look a bit weird. Greetz Max4d

Great realism! Really nice work!

Good work. I would suggest twisting one of the handles on the faucet as the appear to be off in their current position. I would also add some water drops to the bowl and maybe a water spot or two to the faucet. These are minor items but would add to the realism.

This image looks like a single frame from a high-speed film.(like those films showing bullets passing through various objects) I think what makes the water draw comments like above is that it seems to strike the hands, and then just stops. Also, the hands are dry. In real life, the hands would probably have turned on the water, and then they would move into the resulting stream of water. Nice idea, and very difficult subject.

One minor thing, the shadow from the hands? The tap and water are casting shadows into the basin however the hands are not. Otherwise a very good piece of work indeed.

Buena idea y buen trabajo. Como los demas, creo que debes cortar la imagen por la derecha. Quizalgo mas de agua derramada y un poco de cuidado al mapear las texturas. Salud.

I like the picutre! Try to use a cluster of lights with very low settings (.02 or .03 to fake a little global illumination. Then set a "main light". The water is really well done... not really realistic, yet very eyecatching - very good work!

Generaly good scene, just few things: hands don't cast shadows, they are not correct in geometry, not all materials look realistic and you should add more water, coz it's impossible to turn the tap on and put your hands under it in so short time. I don't want talk about border between sink and tileworks, coz point of the pic is WATER, and it looks GREAT! Yes, for more real look You can add motion blur, but then the water will not be so clear and NICE, like a frame from high-speed film. Sorry about my english!
