Harry, I'm picking up where I left off...I can't do one of my usual long sessions, because I haven't the stamina (having come off 2 medical procedures, and preparing for a 3d---infections and complications, etc), but after leaving a smattering of individual comments today, I wanted to end with at least a partial session in your gallery, so you know I've seen everything, and had a slew of responses to your continually exciting, exploratory journeys into just about everything you see.
When you posted this, I was struck at how consummate all the variations are, that each one is a study in process, decay, texture and so much else. The original is an exciting process/decay shot by itself; I love the topographical feeling, like that's a big river with tributaries, and parched land on all sides. The 2d is a complex version w/ swirl lines and lots of other lines---like the geology is suddenly beset by tectonic action over centuries. Terrific. The 3d resembles dark marble, with deep white veins; and that purple splotch becomes a bright orange one. Or else, it's lightning in a stormy sky. The 4th is like quartz crystals all jammed together, with deep black incisions all around. And the last is a very intense microscopic shot of cells and such, with capillaries and other biological things messing around. An amazing collection, based on one of your signature decay shots on top. Capital stuff, as one teacher used to say. First rate.
