Looks like a fault line has opened up right through the middle of the picture. Not surprising, it looks like all hell has broken loose in the sky. Pretty wild image. I hope your new year's eve is a warm one.

You really do live in the most amazing city in the world. I never get to see such a fabulous sky as this and then to be able to get a reflection too. Amazing !!!!!! Have a Happy New Year and capture a lot more of these. 😀

I bet they set off fireworks over the lake. They do that here (in Seattle, actually, I just can't remember where I am half the time). They "blow up" the Space Needle of course, and there's also a fireworks barge on Lake Union. Your fireworks over Lake Michigan made me think of what it will really look like, and it's easy to picture! Your version is undoubtedly more beautiful and festive. I love this!

I have seen a wonderful firework there in June from the Navy Pier ... it was so impressive like jour postwork!

This is just great-----drugs would make you crazy if you tried looking at this while ingesting anything!! lol New Years Eve for me has never been a huge deal. When I was younger, I always babysat---got big bucks for that night. But this is way it can be and and yeah, fireworks and noise and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
