I read your words, above, when you posted them, and I remember feeling awful for what has befallen you. I hope that stuff is over for you, Steve. I mean forever. I think the whole "Job" thing (as in the biblical Job) has run its course; and whatever test is being thrown your way should pack its bags and let you get on with your life again.
In picking images I've left out, I was happy to see I've commented on a lot of your recent images---a relief, because I've been absent so much, I was feeling guilty for not leaving comments. Well, this was the next 'missed' image (after the last one), and it's another eye popper! Another of your explorations of the dark side of life, with a great evocation of Poe's poem (and a semi transparent image of Poe himself, staring through the window---that face really haunts, doesn't it? Poe always looks like he's troubled by something). The castle interior is doused in shadow and grime, and that woman---one of your main models---looks great in that deep dark outfit, which you've given subtle light to. Her hair looks great, her purple makeup looks great, with great shining purple eyes (and purple lips), and another of your worlds-within-worlds pics: the framed picture of this image, with a duplicate of it inside that, etc etc---ie, a hall of mirrors thing). And a black cat, spilled jar, etc. Terrificially done. If you'd photographed this, one would say you know how to set up a shot. But you created it, and it's terrific, Steve.
Well believe it or not, these 3 comments took me half an hour, and I have to go. But I don't have too many recents (of yours) to catch up on, and hopefully I will soon. Terrific work, Steve: You really have the inner eye. I truly hope this year is a lot better than last, and I hope someone employer gets over the 'age' hump and uses you for your abilities, background and talents. A much more blessed 2018 to you, on all levels.
