I've been to New Orleans, and I know how it feels at night---especially in night clubs and intimate restaurants. You captured the dark, intense mood---we can barely see two of the people here---and the feeling that the night will last forever. I played jazz many years (in clubs), and I know how those clubs feel: You captured the dark, intense feeling of those clubs. I see a few "hints" of an audience on the right; and that person playing the trumpet, in the blue shirt---the rest is deep reds and shadows. A very evocative 'night club' scene; and it's how N.Orleans feels. Terrific piece, Nicola. You captured the mood 'just right'.
