They called them "COWs" at Children's Mercy.... Short for Computers On Wheels.... Interesting photos of these, Michael!
Oh, Summer's having the time of her life... She wants to do a 'pin-up' - been bugging me non-stop to do a shoot, so look for that soon. Before she finds the frying pan I hid....

I read what this is in your next post, and I was amazed you had this in your home! The pictures are fascinating, because you show it from top to bottom, and it's such a clunky, formidable thing. I'm not surprised it weighs a lot. It looks like a 1960s conception of a robot, roaming your place and talking in one of those wonky "electronic" voices; but it looks like a serious diagnostic device (which it is). I can see why you'd be happy to get rid of it: It isn't 'discrete'. Nice shots, fascinating, and almost human. Like it's going to say something or give you a command...
I've appreciated your comments on the 'tank' series that Tara started: I've read every one. And you've taught me a great deal about tanks: I'm impressed with what you know about them. I respond solely to the visuals: I know precious little about their history, mechanics, etc. I was inside a Sherman tank when I was young, and I was blown away by how tiny it was. But I know nothing more. I didn't think of how cold a tank can be in the winter; or that it can absorb the sun's heat---I just thought that the cannon must be hot after being used---but I don't know anything about their real nature...or that collectors gathered them up after Middle Eastern battles. I've appreciated all your insights and info for what, to me, are terrifying instruments of battle. When I saw those Shermans, and stood under the wheels, I thought they would lean over and devour me. And that wasn't the most terrifying tank in the world. I just thought, holy cow, that thing's a beast and I'm getting out of here...Thanks for stopping by one of my pieces. Your comments are always involved, committed and knowledgeable. A happy 2018 to you!
