Description

One of the valves at the Old Hidalgo Pumphouse, used to divert water from the Rio Grande River for the purpose of irrigation. Topaz filter 1005 00 FG NB Glow (A prosaic moniker, perhaps, but undoubtedly unique!)

Great detail. Your P.O.V. and post work makes this look monumental, even heroic, in a World War II sort of way. I can imagine a muscular shirtless fellow turning the wheel to advance the war effort.
