Description

Here's an older scene I've returned to. Gonna try making a swarm of gnats hovering around the light (which flickers). Any ideas? Hyper voxels? Random points with a morph target? Gonna try em both. Any suggestions would be appreciated. D

Whats up daeve. I'm just here admiring your work. I like the whole scene. The dark figures in the background, who could they be? The mysterious rock shaped object holding the light. This is the type of scene that has your mind thinking and thinking.....and thinking some more. Good work my friend.

intresting imagery! :) ..and as for the swarming gnats, you could add Particles and Wind to simulate the gnats swarming around the lightbulb and then attach a model of a gnat to each and every particle to finalize it :) .,. kind of like my test-render i did of a flock of birds, check it out if you want ideas: http://w1.148.telia.com/~u14800029/ flocking_birds_test.zip [clip uses the Xvid codec] .,. good luck and keep us posted about your progress! :) peace //Benny.

Has a very "x-files" look to it with the eerie lighting and the mysterious shadowy figures (with pointy ears) in the back. The grass is really well done. Please keep posting WIP's, I'd love to see this piece evolve to final. :o)

The shadowy guys in the background are a superb addition to a scene that'd still be cute without them; they add a nice little touch of "not safe". The whole scene is another great example of you making something that feels like a dream (especially the randomness of the floating rock holding up the bulb). Adding a swarm of gnats sounds like a good idea. As for suggestions, if you were going to animate it maybe the background figures could sway slightly. Use your own judgment, though.
