On the moon Delmaria, three settlers are heading home after a morning at a trading center, bartering precious minerals and gems in exchange for chemicals needed in the distillation of fuel for their para jets. Delmaria was inhabited in an ancient time by life forms similar to humans, but they vanished centuries ago. The little world has returned to a pre-civilized natural state, and for the last 10 years pioneers have been slowly re-inhabiting the landscape. The flyers are hurrying through a series of canyons and rifts that are considered off-limits. No one spends the night here- those who have vanish, or are found wandering incoherent and unable to speak of whatever happened to them. It's a short cut of choice back to the green hills and mountains of the smaller settlements. You can see the ringed gas giant Delmaria orbits near the horizon. I modeled the para jets in 3D Max, and the pilots are low res Poser figures. Everything else is done in Vue Studio 2014. This is based on some renders I started about 8 years ago; I may continue with the story line for fun; the old images are here in my gallery somewhere.
