On board the Fiji Link ATR 72-600 flying at about 20,000-ft from the Nadi, Republic of Fiji, Melanesia to Faleolo IAP, Upolu Island, Independent State of Samoa, the westernmost island nation in Polynesia, a distance of 1211 km. The ATR 72-600 is a joint venture formed by French Aerospace Company Aerospatiale (now Airbus) and Italian Conglamorate Aeritalia (now Leonardo S.p.A.). The '72' in its name is derived from the aircraft standard configuration in a passenger-carrying configuration, which could seat 72-78 passengers in a single-class arrangement.
