This is my first "real" attempt at making a Bryce Landscape. I've only had Bryce5 now for a few weeks and it's a steep, steep learning curve!
Renderosity is a great source of inspiration and learning. Thanks to you all :)
Any comments, negative or positive are appreciated! :) :)
All Bryce5, with a touch of colour manipulation from PSP.

Not a bad start, you'll get there, don't worry. Tips for improvement: decrease your textures for the distant mountains or else you lose the scale. Experiment with the terrain editor to get a more jagged (but not spikey!) effect on the rocks and combine this with a small amount of bump. See, the beach on the left in the middle looks really good, because it has detail, whilst the mountains do not.
The lighting on the landscape is too strong for the light source - either you need the lightsource to be much stronger (either use blending in skylab or use volumetric slabs with a bright infinite light) or you need to reduce the light falling on the land.

Thanks for the tips :o) Now I'm off to buy myself some headache tablets after spending far too long playing with bump maps in the DTE ;o) I'll brave the forums for more feedback as I (hopefully) improve my image.

Good stuff, I love the laser-like specularity you've got going on in the foreground! Can't wait to see more, WE BURN!
