Your black-and-whites are so sensual and so rich. I love the quality of light on these planes, they're almost a creamy metallic tone. And you've got them lined up here, where foreshortening makes them appear crunched into a big mass. And the sweep of the runway---here, in your rich dark grays---makes a beautiful opening to the whole image. Your trees are the band separating ground from sky...and your sky is sweeping and hovering, like a ceiling for the ground. A long and sweeping image: You work with these tones so beautifully.
