Is this photographed from behind the Notre Dame cathedral? The land is lower there than along the other parts of the shore line. But, it makes one wonder - is water flooding the metro system? It looks waist deep from this angle. Quite a dramatic photo. Not what one usually associates with Paris and the Seine river. Keep up the good work. Any more dramatic flooding photos? :-)

No it's near Le Louvre, you can see in the right on the picture. It's Square du Vert Galant under Pont Neuf. The metro RER ligne C is closed between Gare d'Austerlitz station and Avenue Henri Martin station, because there is water on the rail track.
