Description
A little over a year ago, I took Southwest Airlines maiden flight from Dallas to Chicago. I saw a 1970's Southwest promo picture in Smithsonian magazine. I wondered about doing a tribute scene to recreate the spirit of the picture.
Step 1)
Find a reasonably priced 737 with a good set of texture templates. (I might not use it for anything else.) and create 1970's Southwest Airlines Paint
scheme.
Step 2)
Create a 1970's Southwest Airlines Stewardess uniform. (Ya, that's what the title was then.)
Step 3)
I quickly created a set of 737 air stairs. They were not part of the airliner download (not a criticism.) This style of air stairs was not
available anywhere I could find.
Step 4) Place my 'stews,' as the photographer would; understanding they all might not completely follow instructions, and might be distracted elsewhere.

Hmmm... I have a feeling I missed something back then. Good job attempting to get the atmosphere of the time. Nice job with the period hair styles. Thanks for the enjoyment! Keep up the good work! :-)

Even back then, Go-Go Boots and Hot pants as a uniform seemed at least a teeny-tiny bit sexist.

An excellent multi-character render with a great setting.

I saw a photo similar to this on the wall at Love Field, and thought, 'that would be fun to recreate.'
