I've always found doing some kind of art to be very calming and therapeutic. Doing something that calms the spirit and soothes the pain is very important at this time. There will always be an empty place where our loved ones dwelt in our lives, but we have to carry on and do the things that would make them proud. You mom is smiling down on you right now, very proud of the beauty you add to this world.

So the way I deal with grief is often to sit on my Piano and let the soul express it self or having a cat on my lap. How ever if the reason for my grief is the loss of one of my mostbeloved cats, then music often is all that's left (beside praying of course).

I don't pretend to have answers on how to deal with grief, but art seems a good way to embrace those thoughts, feelings and emotions that words alone cannot aptly express.
