I can't help but think of Van Gogh with this image...you have the pronounced strokes and repetition...But you also have a softness throughout (not like Van Gogh, lol): You've mixed sharp stalks and leaves with a softness in the background (and even in the foreground) which gives a real depth and contrast to the piece. That's a big thing, because it's not easy to capture all this "sameness" and still get variety. Full size, I find this irresistible. Beautiful capture of dark (I assume) wintry-dried grasses.
