Description

one of many stairwells on the Brilliance of the sea I used my Canon 15mm fisheye. I flipped it vertical for more of an effect

Ha! I suspected as much - flipped upside down. Reminds me of the "Poseidon Adventure" - cruise ship capsized by giant wave. Called the "Poopside Down Adventure" by Mad Magazine. I never saw the film, but read Mad's parody of it. Gave me several good laughs! So, under normal conditions you use the center stairs. And in capsized condition, you use the side stairs. Hows that for an explanation? Unless you are thinking Esher. Keep up the good work! This was real fun! :-)

Yeah, with Rod, I think of Escher too. Your fisheye treatment brings out a very cloistered feeling, almost like a hall-of-mirrors. And I like that you only showed feet, and the effect is almost one of a fractal---imagine that, from a photo of a stairwell. Doused in rich purple-reds and rich orange-tinted beiges. A real visual treat.
