This is an image of the Headquarters of the Smithsonian on the Mall in Washington, DC.
The sky was a beautiful color and it was a wonderful day right close to sunset.

Nice angle. I live about 10 miles from the Smithsonian and visit it about twice a year as they rotate their exhibits.

I live right outside DC, and i love going down a few times a year. Would have been better if they hadn't had the wooden fencing around the grass.

hmmm, well, I'm several states away & have never been- but would like too :) How bout a closer view? Don't suppose they let you take pics inside?

Actually i believe you can, but they close early, like 5:00, we were heading home since everything was closed up when i took it. Perhaps one weekend this winter. Its a magnificent building.
