Hello !
My name is Helle. I live in Denmark on the Island, Zealand. I have a husband and two sons and three grandchildren, so I am a happy person.
I like many kinds of art and I try to limit myself, but I dont succeed very well. I love my PSP9 and I think I use it every day. I like to draw, paint and experiment on canvas or paper and I wish I had time do it every day. My biggest wish is, that there would be 48 hours instead of the poor 24 a day. I just dont think it will ever happen ;)
A fantastic new world opened for me, when I was Introduced to Renderosity for the first time. I am very grateful to be a part if this site.

Fabulous, my friend, in all their lines, colouring, depth, what comes over such lively, with also a kind of serenity. It looks like their is snow on this lovely work (but where are your drops? lol).

What a lovely watercolor this is, Helle! You do a beautiful job on these watercolors, and that's not the easiest medium to work with.

I was unfamiliar with Peter Sheeler, so I looked him up, and I can see why you like his work so much! You and he have a similar artistic sensibility. A different execution, of course, because none of us can duplicate another's style perfectly, but your style is very well suited to this sort of thing. I love this piece! It seems very "American Prairie" to me, with the farmhouse and the snow and the vast open space. Your watercolor skills are superb, and I love the looseness of the sky against the buttoned-down look of the house. A beautiful little painting!

ditto many of the above, and I agree with tara that you have something in common with Sheeler. (I looked him up too---beautiful work!) But his watercolors feel more 'graphic' to me, whereas yours feel more like watercolors...I just love this, Helle. Yes (with tara) your watercolor technique is wonderful. You know how to let washes 'speak' for you, and when to paint details. And you strike a perfect balance between the two in this ptg. And, while you have lots of whites and grays (in the ground), and beiges, browns and rusts (in the houses), you have beautiful pastels in the sky. Your composition is beautifully done in '3's---house and surrounding, snowy hills on the right, and sky. And yes, it does feel prairie-ish---esp northern, where you see these very hills, and this diffuse 'northern' light (a light your part of the world is famous for: the Dutch Renaissance---1600s---used that light all over the place, in their paintings. You'd fall in love with North Dakota, Minnesota and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan...your eye would soar and you'd want to do a million paintings...Glorious, and it must be seen full size.

Magnificent, Helle. I love everything about it, especially that watercolor sky. I'm jealous because I could never master the media of watercolor. And I used to know someone named Tara on Renderosity. I wonder if it's the same person. Maybe.
