Wow, a very inventive image! I assume you used Beaumarchais or Rossini as your inspiration? (Or Mozart?) Il barbierre di Siviglia? I think the parrot is singing from Rossini's joyous masterpiece. (Largo al factotum? "Figaro, Figaro, Figaro..." ecc.) What an inventive image! Except-------I don't remember Figaro cutting-off people's heads in the Beaumarchais tales, or in those 2 operas. Maybe I have a faulty memory! (Or maybe you mixed the Figaro story with legends of Sweeney Todd, lol?) In any case, your Figaro is reassuring the man in the chair---even though he's just cut the man's throat! (Or is about to...) And, like Figaro (the gigione that he is), he's singing his lines! And, on the right? A character I don't remember, with heads in a trunk! (And a black cat looking inside it...) A wonderful, sinister, infame, scellerato scene, with macabro humor and wit. And the red floor is perfect---the color of passion and blood. And the man in front of the trunk looks like a very evil, scheming soul! And you put a mirror in the scene, showing Figaro and his barber's knife: The man in the chair doesn't look very happy! Delightfully macabre, and I love your singing parrot. Perhaps he's well trained by his "factotum" boss...

Dear Mark, it is true, Figaro does not cut the head of anyone and, on top of that, it proves friend of the poor Earl of Almaviva (to whom I, loooong freely, I do play the part of the victim).

I just wanted to take inspiration from the 0pera Rossiniana making, very presumptuously, a simple scene of "Humor Noir" hoping for this, not to incur the right ' ire of the various authors among which I also put Paisiello that I think was (if I am mistaken) the first is and laying out of the text.
