Though I don't know Lynn's work, I've seen enough of it to know how inventive she is, how expert, and how vivid. So accept my birthday wishes as well! I love your palette here---that deep autumnal yellow-orange, and so saturated too. And a kind of neon-green---as if neon lights are flashing on her from beyond the picture...And there's a man in her magic scepter: Since I don't know the song (once again!), I don't know if that man is from the song by Stevie Nicks; but, whoever he is, he's a fascinating presence; in fact, he almost looks like Christ. And I love your way with facial painting, you always put such care into that. The cobwebs in one of the arches are wonderful backdrops. And that big moon back there, in shining deep orange, gives a mystical lift to the whole piece. Another of your fine designs, Steve, with another mysterious woman who draws us in, and great use of color; and I love the curtains, as if she's stepping out of an ancient stage to greet us. You create mood as few on this site, and this is a perfect example of it.
