Christian, you have a way of taking the simplest scenes, and bringing out the Mozart in them. Sometimes the Bach. (Even Beethoven's Pastorale, or his late sonatas and quartets.) It's a simple scene, but you bring out all kinds of gentle detail; and you have a way with paths---you let them take us into your forests and valleys, and disappear into the warm gentle 'infinitude' behind the picture. Your light here is gentle and low---as indicated by the long shadows---and it gives a glow to this winter-laden scene. Gentle and beautiful and full, like so many of your landscapes...(Erwachen heiterer Empfindungen bei der Ankunft auf dem Lande, from Btvn's Pastorale ...)
