The story continues from the previous render... We traveled a fair bit in the tunnel and then came upon a place we saw vehicles similar to the one we were traveling on parked. There were people in masks around but they ignored us. We parked, picked up the 2 containers in which the wolf and our equipments were and put them on a trolley and moved inside one of the corridors. Miho had photographic memory so based on the layout she had seen and the distance we traveled she knew where we were and how to get to where we wanted to go. We were aiming for the security room and also the server room that basically ran this base. There was one thing about this base, they had separated the critical systems network from the day to day systems and the critical systems could not be accessed via WiFi. And there was a third completed separate system that triggered a panic alert to the evil corporation’s HQ which was accessible only from the security room. So they had at least learned something from the last two incidents. This did make things more difficult for us. We got in to a room with no one around and let the wolf out from the barrel and I also took out the equipments and non lethal weapons from the other. We got out of the hazard suits and made our way to the security room. According to the layout Miho had seen it was in a middle of a vast hall. We slowly made our way there. It was easy to avoid people with the scanner Miho had created. It pinpointed people around us so we could always duck into a room or change direction as needed. We reached the door to the hall inside which the security room was. We did not find any guards there and that was a bit odd. There were cameras but that was not our concern as we were invisible to them. Miho took a quick peek through the small glass window in the door and immediately knew the reason why they did not need guards here. What we had not anticipated was that the security room was made of glass (probably bullet proof ) and they could see anyone approaching the room. The whole reason they put it in the middle of the vast hall was to make it difficult to approach without being physically seen. So even though the camera feed could be hacked, there was no way to go in and approach the security room without being seen from the inside and they triggering the panic alert immediately. So they really had learnt the lesson about security and improved their security a whole lot. It did not matter if the security room for eventually compromised. Main thing was for them to be able to trigger the alert and lock down the base and wait for cavalry. Later we would find out that not only the security room was difficult to approach. The ground underneath and the the ceiling above it was solid metal layer 2 meters thick. It had a separate ventilation shaft and it’s diameter was small so that one could not get it via that and if somehow one managed to put in a sleeping or lethal gas in it, there were independent sensors to detect that and auto seal the shaft. The people inside would get an alert and they had individual oxygen tanks to breath from. So they could still trigger the panic alert to bring in reinforcements. The wires from this room to the server room was also embedded in that solid metal layer during construction so they could not be tapped. Miho said we need to leave the security room alone and instead try to penetrate the server room. It was not idle as even though we were invisible to the cameras the people in the security rooms could see other peoples in the cameras and once we entered the server room they were bound to see the reaction of those people even if they did not see what they were reacting too.,Once again we made slow but steady progress to the server room avoiding all people we saw in our scanners. We came to a lift that went to the server room and this was the only way to go there. We could see there were people in the the server room using the scanners. There was no way to avoid them. Miho said we will need to act fast once the lift doors open. Though we expected them, for the people in the room it was definitely going to be an unexpected encounter. In the security room, one young security personnel was watching the server room and entrance to the server room. He had joined recently so was not bored with the monotony of the work. He noticed something strange. With no one around, the lift door open and then close and the lift ascended to the server room. He saw the people in the server room going about doing their thing. He waited for the lift door to open. What he saw next he could not believe. The camera in the lift as well as camera pointed at the lift from inside the server room showed nothing but everyone in the room started to reacted to something from the direction of the lift and then it was a blur. Next second he saw everyone on the floor – the technician as well as the guards. The moment the lift door open, Miho rushed out at incredible speed and before any of the guard in the room could react to bring up their weapons to bear she already dispatched all of them and the technician with her martial arts skill and immediately found the security system and panic systems and installed her code to takeover control of the systems. All this happened in less time than it took to say “Hey you”. The wolf and me had not even taken a step out of the lift before Miho had done all that. Miho had heard more foot steps from deeper inside the room coming our way and was already ready for them. The wolf saw a guard step in from behind one of the server racks and immediately attacked the guard. Miho let the wolf deal with that guard without turning back to look. I got on to the console and started issuing additional commands to Miho’s system overriding application and also started to look in detail at all the information related to the creatures. Needed to copy all the information ASAP. At the security room, the young security personal was totally stupefied. He screamed and pointed to the monitor just before the camera feeds from everywhere went dead. They immediately knew they had been hit again by the unknown adversary they had been warned about. The shift supervisor hit the panic button with apprehension. He knew in the last 2 attacks no alerts had gone out to the HQ. It was a seconds too late. Nothing happened. He pressed it multiple times, nothing happened. He tried calling the security teams over the comm. Nothing happened. Now they were certain they were under attack and they were completely blind to what was going on around the base... Panic started to spread around the base as the guards could not contact the security room as they were supposed to periodically. They started to issue manual evacuation order to people they saw as they had been trained to do. They did not know which direction to go to stop whoever was causing what was happening as there was no one to guide them and this was a vast base. They tired to shutdown the barriers to their sections but the barriers would not come down. People got back to the guards saying the evacuation doors were locked and they could not get them to open. The panic continued to grow. Having no choice, the guards moved people into rooms and put themselves in front of the doors weapons ready. They did not know what to expect but they felt it was better to stay put and guard the personnel they were supposed to protect.. Everyone inside the base were now trapped. And on everyone's mind were not only what was happening but also the creatures.... If those got loose there would be a massacre here.... Finally they started to fear what they had created here... The story will continue with the next render....

I was again wondering what to render next to continue the story. Looking at the poses in my content library I came across a similar pose to what you see. I modified it a bit to position her right arm differently and adjusted her leg, feet and heels and toes to make them look natural and not distorted. Once I had this pose, the idea and story formed around it. I was going to do this as a front view but while playing with the camera, I loved how Miho looked in this angle so settled on this view. In this one all the red / green and yellow lights you see were not part of the set. I created masks of them in Photoshop and used the mask in Octane to light up those parts. I think lighting them up adds to the environment. I also added lights at the bottom of all the racks which were also not part of the set. Again I used the cyan colored lighting to add to the atmosphere. There are additional masks and lights I created but because I changed the camera angle, those are no longer visible. Maybe I will use them in another render in the future. I adjusted Miho’s tee and shorts in ZBrush to remove distortion specially on the shorts because of the pose. There is a bit of noise on Miho’s skin. I have left it there as I don’t think it will clear even if I render it for another a couple of hours. It probably needs a lot longer to clear. It is just the lighting type and the specular materials on on skin shader that results in this. In any case, I am happy how it came out :)
