Description
A race car based on Alain's excellent Citroen SM model available in his 3DClassics store here.
I changed the headlights and added front spot lights using the Vintage Cars Accessories bundle and the rimes from the rims from the Wheels Bundle.
Thanks for looking.
Mike.

Mike, your car renders look so good I expect to see a spot of oil on the ground if they move! Another terrific job. By the way, do you use panel lights for these renders?

Very nice Mike. Just something odd caught my eyes. I think you are using a HDR to light this, the windscreen reflections shows that. But this is a seamless background render. So the reflections look a bit out of place.
Try the inbuilt studio HDR lights. You can also rotate them any way you like to create interesting lighting. Or just choose no environment, add a plane and in the Octane Materials tab, select the plane and choose "Create New Light Source". You can choose the Simple or the IES one. IES is for controlling the light distribution via IES maps (already present in Octane). Textured is more for what I am doing in my last 2 renders.
Feel free to ask for any help you need regarding Octane :).

Thanks for the comment guys. I do indeed use an HDRI light and I use a ramp for the background. I shy away from background images a fair bit as in my rendering they never seem to look quite right and prefer the studio look. Thanks rajib, I'll try something different for the next one I'm working on now, a BMW 507.

Looks super, Mike! Was this after the Citroen-Maserati breakup? Personally I like how ever you light your vehicles. They always look so real.

Thanks everyone and for the pictures Alain, great photos.
Dave, the SM was introduced in 1970 and was part of the Citroen-Maserati alliance. It used the Maserati V6 engine combined with Citroen's superb suspension.
