Hello !
My name is Helle. I live in Denmark on the Island, Zealand. I have a husband and two sons and three grandchildren, so I am a happy person.
I like many kinds of art and I try to limit myself, but I dont succeed very well. I love my PSP9 and I think I use it every day. I like to draw, paint and experiment on canvas or paper and I wish I had time do it every day. My biggest wish is, that there would be 48 hours instead of the poor 24 a day. I just dont think it will ever happen ;)
A fantastic new world opened for me, when I was Introduced to Renderosity for the first time. I am very grateful to be a part if this site.

complete with a hover fly - cool capture

A fabulous close up of this beautiful flower and its visitor. The detail of the hover fly [ according to Mike] is so clear.

Beautiful 'iced dessert' capture of a flower. It's luscious. And I too didn't know it was a hoverfly! The ice makes this fragile and beautiful, and a sweet reminder of things to come. Thanks for digging back for this, it's a real beauty, Helle.
(Just wanna add: We Chicagoans don't do 'flowers' in February...hell, we don't do flowers in April. ((I'm amazed they even show up in June.)) You're messing with my head, Helle...I need snow and ice, it's only February for god's sake...)

I remember! Living so far south in the winter we skip the long, cold, dark, cloudy days. But about this time of year, I started longing for spring! Just one sunny day, just one day over 60F, just one flower. The first day over 70F and I would go to the beach during my lunch break, coming back feeling like I'd been on vacation. Winters in a warm climate are lovely, and we don't head back north until spring is in full swing! A summer flower like this, with an insect friend, is a wonderful reminder that winter doesn't last forever. That yellow is glorious!

In English we call this particular hover a Marmalade fly ! A lovely warm pic.

Great catch of the winged visitor as it gets pollen from the flower, Helle. What kind of flower is that? And all we have here is summer, virtually all year long.

Glad you found this in your upload folder, my friend! I feel warmer already…
