Okay. Hopefully this one only posts once. This one took a few tries to light correctly, but I am very happy with the mood set here.

P. S. - As a side not to Genesis 2 users... Generation X2 does not recreate Gen 4 characters very well. Sadly, it is better to remake them with Genesis 2 only morphs. The reason here is that when the generation X2 morphs are added problems occur with the clothing. If anyone has a workaround for this please let me know. Enjoy! -DrDrk

P. S. S. - Does anyone know why since the creation of i-ray light passes through hair now as in the picture above? Thanks again, -DrDrk

Is there someone standing there? Looks a bit dark on my Mac.

superbly fantastic!

The screens only lighting accentuating the chairs and interior looks primo. The character is pretty dark though. I dialed all new characters for my G2's but really like how she accommodates virtually all V4 recourses. As to the Iray hair, not sure what your Iray settings are for hair.

Actually it is way to dark to see the character or the hair you mentioned. Take a look at my render (https://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/inside-the-underground-base-/2795556/?p) to see how I lit a similar low light scene but still had enough light to see the character clearly. In IRAY if you use a specular material for the hair, light will pass through it. There is a transmission value that can control how much light passes through the hair.
For problems with clothing, try to add the smoothing modified (Edit->Object->Geometry->Add smoothing modifier) and then under the Parameter tab -> General->Mesh Smoothing and play with the smoothing iterations and collision iterations. That most of the times can fix issues.

Good advice. I will check out the dials that you mentioned. I have found with the gen x2 imports that as long as the morphs are close enough to the gen 2 figure then there are no problems, but often at seams there is poke that does not get fixed by the smoothing modifier. I imported all of the V4/m4 morphs so that I can use gen 2 bodies and all of aspects of V4/m4 faces and heads. That worked very well for me. Gen 2 has less details in the gen 2 morphs and relies more on the purchased characters which is disappointing. Anyway, thanks for tuning in.

I like the darkness and how it is set. I never noticed the hair in my renders, I'll have to keep an eye out. I use the supplied iray shaders for the new hair and I use OOT iray for daz hair, and apply it to the material that came with the hair, I rarely use the supplied colors from OOT.

Great sci-fi render that needs a full size view to completely appreciate.
