My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

This is what I love about travelling----not really being sure what's around that next corner!! Love this shot!!

Ah, my favorite with train rides - standing so I can look out the front window and see the curve coming - and the mystery of "What's around the bend?". As a little child I loved standing behind the front middle window of the old "Owl" commuter trains in Philadelphia and looking forward at each bend, even though I had seen it many times before. Keep up the good work! :-)

Superb composition leading the eye to what's behind the fog barely visible in the distance. The kind of image that beckons you to follow.

This has such a wonderful feel of "just a few more steps, and we'll be in the sunshine…"

I really like the "swing" this railroad is showing here and I love the misty background, where the sun is almost coming through :)

this has several worlds in it---the bottom with the luminous tracks that lead us around a mysterious, hidden bend; the two big trees on either side; the partially visible shoreline back there, with some wonderful gold clarity in spots; the big abyss of trees behind all that, moving up to the top third of the piece; and---reaching the top---the ghost-silhouettes of trees in the background, with a dual layer of trees on the left (foreground and mid ground). A rich fog shot, thick and silken. And I love the hidden entities all through it. You're wholly at home in this medium, finding clear poems in the midst of a foggy abyss. Beautiful shot, Tara.
