Description
The Grumman G-21 "Goose" is just one of those planes that seems to evoke the spirit of adventurous travel for me. I guess it's because it harkens back to some of those high adventure movies made in the 1940's and 1950's.
It made its first flight in 1937 and was envisioned as a "flying yacht" for millionaires. It was Grumman's first two engined plane, and its first plane to enter commercial airline service. It was roomy enough for deluxe passenger service and transport duty, but small enough to imagine as a plane that some adventurous wag might keep airborne so as to roam the world seeking treasure and excitement. It was used by various military air services during WWII for various duties, and with a small production of about 345 aircraft, surprisingly there are still about 30 still airworthy!
This is a beautiful model by Cybertenko, available here on Renderosity. Great looking and a pleasure to use!

I almost expect to see Indiana Jones in the passenger copilot's seat.
