Yeah probably the shadows are too soft and therefore can hardly be seen.

Fascinating, sterile scene. Like somebody tries to imitate a forest, like the title says. And i truely love the render, excellent lighting and atmosphere

Beautiful image. I love the subtlety. Maybe try upping the contrast a little just to direct the eye a little more. Very pieceful.
