Such natural beauty scarred for a while! I'd love to see it when it grows back. We had fires like this in Singapore and come to think of it Chatham in Kent and Scotland.

Forest fires make me sad. I always think about the wildlife who have lost their homes (and maybe their lives). And yes, the forests regenerate--but it can take a long time--I was in Yellowstone many years after that horrific fire it sustained and was shocked to see how little did regenerate and how tiny the new trees were.

if you think natural fire is difficult to come back from, just wait till the damage from Scott Pruitt’s position as head of the EPA is fully understood. great eye Richard

Nature will heal this if man just lets it.

It seems to see what happened to the former beautiful pine forest of " Ostia ", near Rome: A real ecological catastrophe!!!madreterra-300x1752.jpg

It's rather amazing how nature regenerates so quickly. Cool shot, Richard!
