Description

This establishment of maritime signaling, imagined by the commission of the service of lighthouses and beacons in 1825, is built from 18301 and guides the sailors since February 1st 1834. Placed on the point Martinmas, in 75 meters in height, the lighthouse presents a 47 meter height. The current optics, established by lenses of Fresnel and of rings catadioptriques is installed in 1904. She sweeps the night of two bright brightness of 10 seconds for a visual reach of 26 nautical miles (48 km) . He has the form of a cylindrical barrel put on a base of two levels, at the origin of octagonal form then enlarged in 1950 for the needs for the electrification. He is automated in 1980 and is the object of a registration in conformance with historic monuments

Une magnifique photo, prise sous une lumière qui met en valeur l'ensemble et les détails de ce phare. Les quelques phares que j'ai visités sont ceux de Belle-Ile-en-Mer et du pays bigouden, et l'âme de la Bretagne s'y ressent encore énormément !

Les phares, les sentinelles de la mer ont un charisme particulier, j'aime beaucoup les phares dommage qu'ils soient tous abandonnés par l'homme, le progrès a beaucoup aidé à cet abandon, c'est triste...

Belle vue rapprochée qui permet d'apercevoir "l'âme" du phare! D'accord avec tes mots de réponse pour Karmasong, même si les phares ne sont pas le seul patrimoine qu'on laisse disparaitre, ils sont un symbole!
