In a session where I'm only doing a few images, I should skip around, shouldn't I? To get a representative sample? But I did the last 3 images you posted, simply because I couldn't skip anything! Having grown up on one of the world's grand lakes (which, as my fans here have seen, is quite 'oceanic' up close), I relate to this image immensely. The feeling of utter peace and contentment after a day on the water. And you have that slightly hazy light, slightly diffuse, which almost feels like it's luring us into sweet dreams on the water, with the haze of dreams themselves. Even the light on this woman has a kind of hazy feel to it. She looks so fulfilled as she dresses for land again. And I love the gull on the post, lit from its front in pure white light. And that light blue-green water, with small crests going all the way back to the horizon (where you have more land). The light on her is beautiful, reflecting almost as if off of glass (ie, from the water on her skin). With a delicate sky and faint 'paintings' of clouds, with dabs of pink to harmonize with her pinks. A perfect evocation of your title; and, for anyone who's spent time on beautiful bodies of water, this speaks immediately and with truth. Beautiful work, Dee.
