hopefully this is the final render. i got the comment about the shadows a bit late...but for now lets say the light comes from a hole in the cloudcover:-) i didn

the trees are quite simple: a cone ,and for each level an array of alphamapped "large sloppy leaf"-like structures ( but the trees only look good with hard shadows )

This is excellent even witout the fire. the things you added since the last picture gives a totally new feeling to this picture. i just recently got cinema4, but it takes time to figure aout when you are used to vue D'esprite

Very nice. The trees look much better now with the more slender trunck and it looks like you changed the lighting on them as well. Love the foot prints!

great surrealism. the tree on the right looks too 2d. i'd even leave out the fire completly, it looks great w/o it.
